Final Exam

4. I believe this photograph changed my overall view of photography. The element of art and color in this picture brought and caught my attention the most. With this picture, i removed one of my photography composition rules just to add in a new one, Rule of third.

 5. Shapes have two dimensions, height and width, and often defined with lines. As forms exist in 3 dimensions with height width and depth.
http://ericchiang4.blogspot.com/2015/03/texture.html (Form, taken at Mission San Jose High school)

6.Patterns are symbols in the photo being repeated many times as Repetition is the opposite. It uses symbols and patterns to make the photo stand out.

I believe that my final project has the most effort put in. I believe this is my best work because i went out of my own way to take some of these pictures. I also feel like i fulfilled my photoshop skills before i edited this photos. This project taught me many things. The most important thing i learned was to always reach out and have courage in what you want to do. This gave me a chance to think and to give other people chances for trying to do the right thing.

Student Website Reviews

1st period:
http://aileenhhsu.weebly.com/photography/spring-expo

The Creativity of this Photograph brought my attention the most. I also like the shadow and the dark background, it gives it a little bit of a contrast feeling.

Period 2:
http://pcharyphotography.weebly.com/gallery.html

The white background stands out and also gives better color to the crayons. also the bluring of the bottom also caught my eye.

Period 3:

The bubbles showing around the strawberry was really cool! The idea to take a pic of a strawberry in a cup of water was a dope idea.

This picture shows how crazy this week was. It was filled with joy and excitement
as we walked booth by booth, buying new interesting food we never ate. The food was
unique and different as well as tasty and unpleasant. Food was the best part
about this week as i along as my friends in the picture enjoyed.
It was something new and different. Multicultural week, you will be missed.

MSJMCW story

Waiting in line for 15 mins to get a simple musubi was not worth it. Before this week even started my friends were telling me how great musubis were. So since it was my last year getting to experience multicultural week, i decided to stay one day and get the musubi my friend are all obsessed about. I waited in line for about 15 mins to get the musubi and once i had my hands on it, i was excited to try it as it was my first time ever. Once i took a bite, i knew it wasn't for me. I immediately threw the musubis away and yelled at my friends showing my anger. I wasted 2 dollars and lost extended lunch. this experience was probably something i wont forget in a bad way.

shuttle speed and everything after

Partner: Zoheb Khan
Photo 11
1. in our photo, the picture seems to appear as a fast shuttle speed, the Blur effect on the picture has a sense that the picture was taken at a fast pace.
2. Rule of Center (middle) - the volcano in this picture is right in the middle of the photo.
3. Color element in art- the picture itself has a dim dark light surrounding the mountain yet the lava coming out of the volcano shows a big difference in the picture color wise.
4. principle of design - emphasis the picture stands out alot due to the lava coming out of the volcano. it has a sense to attract viewers attention as a picture.

Best Represents Variety

Picture 4 was the best representation of variety in "documenting the Blues in the Mississippi Delta"
I believe this was the best choice because of the different pictures being hanged on the wall.  There's Malcolm X, the great civil rights leader, and then two pictures of scantily clad models next to him. In addition there are numerous sports flags arranged in a row beneath those pictures. All of these elements contrast each other in that they are unrelated and yet all very important to the people in the bar where they are hung.

Festival Poster 2the

1. The Info. on the poster seems to bring alot of attraction which makes this poster great.

2. Our last poster seemed to simple and didnt catch any attention to the viewers, however this new poster my group created is the total opposite of our first one.

3. We used photoshop to slect marquis in order to block out the rectangular portion of the layer to strike the outline on the text to bring more attention.

Period 4- Semester Final

Part 1:

1. Picture 6 is my favorite photo from this slideshow.
  •  It follows one of my Rules of composition, simplicity.
  •  The background of this picture blends in with the car
  •  The picture itself shows much more than just a car driving in a dessert.
2.  I believe that picture 7 is the best picture because
  •  The lighting in this photo is beyond amazing
  •   The focus point on this picture blends in well with the other colorful bubbles in the background. (Balancing elements)
  • The contrast in the image also fits in well with only being able to see the dark shadows of the person.
3. I believe that my best work this semester was my Masters of photography project. Out of all the other projects we had in this class, I had the most interest and work dedications towards this project. i followed all of my Rules of composition, took photos related to the photos my Photographer took, and also followed his editing skills to my photo as well and that is why i believe that this is my best work this semester. If i had more time, I would travel out to take more scenery pictures to improve this project.

  • Balancing Elements
  • Viewpoint

  • Having Personal issues with someone in the group.
9. Jason Yu's Thirth photo assignment is work i admire of his.

Oskar Barnack wasn't well known as a photographer. He was more known for his microscope research that he took part of in Germany. Although he wasn't well known, he still believed in himself in becoming a photographer. He suffered from Asthma and his solution to this became to his well known invention, the 35 mm Camera.
